Wat Tyler is home to several historically significant buildings relocated from elsewhere in Essex. Little Cooper’s Cottage, Blunt’s Cottage and Holly Cottage form a kind of ‘Village Green’ within the Park.

The Wat Tyler Project is transforming the Park, with its legacy of historic buildings and fascinating wildlife, into a centre of excellence and regional destination of choice for over 350,000 visitors each year, where people and families can relax, play and learn.
Building is now in its final phase and the Wat Tyler Centre is on schedule to open in Summer 2009.
The work will transform the iconic building at the heart of both the old explosives factory and the Sea Transport Stores into a state of the art visitor centre with an 80 seat cafe/restaurant, conference, entertainment and education facilities. Read the rest of this entry »
