Course – Open mosaic habitat brownfield assessment

Introduction to the assessment of Open Mosaic Habitat (OMH) brownfield habitat with a focus on invertebrates in the Thames Gateway region.

You will learn how to recognise OMH habitat, how to identify features of importance and see examples of Priority and other rare species associated with the habitat. There will be a visit to nearby examples of OMH habitats and discussion on their assessment using the open mosaic habitat survey form.

This is an introductory course to Open Mosaic Habitat (OMH) brownfield habitat and its assessment, but attendees should have some basic knowledge of ecology.
