Walks and trails

Fresh air adventures in the Essex countryside

A story around every corner

The path around the perimeter of the park is flat with a firm surface. Other paths take you up and down over grass and woodland without getting too waterlogged and muddy.

Boardwalk to the ponds

Our walking trails have been designed to help you explore Wat Tyler. Illustrated signs help you find out more about our fascinating history along the WWII and explosives trails. The sculpture trail delivers artistic surprises all over the park.

Night time and buggy walks

We organise exciting night walks around the park revealing a world of marvellous nocturnal creatures hidden from view by day.

And for parents with pushchairs our buggy walks are a great way to get the whole family out to enjoy a little gentle exercise and fresh air and meet new pushchair pals.

See our events calendar for walks and more…
