Day visits
Wat Tyler Country Park is one of the most important wildlife sites in Essex. In Edwardian times it was an explosives factory. The combination of rare wildlife species with the archeological footprint of an industrial past makes Wat Tyler a great opportunity for your next school visit.
Our education team have designed a wide range of activities exploring environment and wildlife, outdoor crafts, social and industrial history. Programmes are available for age ranges from reception through to Key Stage three (and beyond) that can be delivered as half day or full day visits for your school class.
Wat Tyler stopovers
An overnight stay in the dormitories of our on site residential centre is a fantastic way for children to share the excitement of a night away from home on your school trip.
