Wat Tyler Village Green

The heart of the park

Your day out starts here…

The Village Green is the at the heart of the park next to the Wat Tyler Centre. Edged by historic, picturesque thatched cottages it's a perfect spot to relax with a picnic on a sunny day, or to start exploring 125 acres of open air adventure on our walks and trails.

Don't be surprised if you stumble across a happy couple embracing on the Green. The heritage barn on the green is a highly original wedding venue.

Wat Tyler’s imported village

Little Cooper’s Cottage and Blunt’s Cottage on the Village Green were both brought to Wat Tyler from elsewhere in Essex.
